Hi!

I’m Masy Chighizola and this is Press Relief.

When Introduced to linoleum relief in college, I experienced an instant love connection! In 2013, I earned my BFA with a focus in Printmaking from Nicholls State University. Fueled by the funds raised from my senior undergraduate show, I made the decision to invest wholeheartedly in my craft by purchasing an etching press.

A need for more knowledge and growth persisted, so I applied to graduate schools and accepted a teaching assistantship at Louisiana State University where I received an MFA in 2017. Although I enjoyed teaching, I always had an entrepreneurial spirit inspired by my family of business owners. So, in 2020 I took the leap and officially established Press Relief Prints as a business, pursuing my artistic career full-time.

My designs are a reflection of the diverse influences that shape my identity. Being from Louisiana, you'll find hints of my culture woven into the work alongside my passion for pattern making and the exploration of individual representation through collected materials.

At Press Relief Prints, I'm committed to pushing the boundaries of this medium in ways that are accessible to all. From transforming carved blocks into one-of-a-kind wearables to crafting unique wall decor and accessories, my aim is to create pieces that resonate with a diverse audience.

Thank you for taking the time to view my work! If you have any questions or inquiries about myself or my work, please don't hesitate to reach out at pressreliefprints@gmail.com.
